I wonder if your problem is "nameserver related." If I access my site through its Namepad subdomain name (jerry.namepad.net), I get the current page. But if I access it through my domain name (jerry.li pointing at ns1.namepad.net), I get the page as it was displayed on 06/22/10, as if the nameservers were pointing to the "old Chicago server" used before the migration. (Actually, I think some master nameserver somewhere is still pointing at 209.212.149.146 -- the old ns1.namepad.net IP address.)

Maybe it'll sort itself out through "propagation" in the next few days.

Jerry, the old Chicago server is indeed still up and we haven't fully shut the IPs down as yet.
I wonder if I need to log into the .li account and change the registration IPs. What do you think ?

Hi Namepad:

I asked the people at SWITCH exactly that question. They said no -- that they only use direct nameserver IP address numbers for CH and LI nameservers (i.e., nameservers that end with the .ch and .li country code),

I think there's just a regional DNS server out there someplace that hasn't picked up your new IP yet by normal propagation. I vote for sitting tight a little longer. My site is not a business site, and it's just for fun, so this isn't a life-or-death situation. Let's just watch it for a few more days.

Thanks.

Update:

Within the last couple of hours, everything has now corrected itself, and is working fine.

Testing the DNS through SWITCH, it's reporting seeing the new Nameservers at 173.236.86.85. Just a couple of hours ago when I checked, it was still locking onto the old one at 209.212.149.146.

I love the Internet. I don't understand it, but I love it.

Thanks Namepad.

Jerry
